Here's the press release from a few days ago:

Largest Physician Network Brings HIPAA Collaboration to the Big Screen

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Doximity, the largest online physician network, today launched its new iPad app, bringing its HIPAA-secure communication platform for doctors to the big screen. Already available online and for iPhone and Android smartphone devices, the new Doximity iPad app enables seamless digital communication and collaboration among physicians leveraging the iPad's larger screen and performance.

Over the past two years, Doximity has seen significant growth in its platform with one in five US physicians joining the network. Doximity is the largest and fastest growing physician network in the US, surpassing 50,000 physician members in March 2012, 100,000 in October 2012, and now 160,000. Notably, more than 72 percent of US physicians already use tablets in their practice, with 81 percent preferring an iPad (Mobihealthnews, 2013; Manhattan Research, 2012).

Doximity for iPad offers expanded search capabilities that take full advantage of the device's larger screen size. The app enables efficient HIPAA-secure faxing, including a free personalized fax number for every US physician. This provides a mobile digital alternative for the 15 billion faxes sent annually in the US healthcare industry. With Doximity for iPad, entire faxes can be viewed without scrolling and users can even add signatures and notes. A built-in fax directory has numbers for 707,000 US physicians and 60,000 pharmacies.

"Our iPad application allows physicians to securely share and view large scale images, articles, and records," said Jeff Tangney, Doximity founder and CEO. "It's the physician's contemporary clipboard."

"As a doctor, The Doximity iPad app allows me to connect with a large community of physicians, from my local colleagues to other healthcare professionals around the United States," said Philip Ovadia, M.D., a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Pennsylvania. "With this tool, we can discuss patient care in a HIPAA-compliant environment and easily exchange thoughts. Doximity has been on the forefront of developing tools that will help doctors care for patients more efficiently and more effectively."

Doximity for iPad is now available in the Apple App Store. For more information about the new Doximity iPad app, visit www.doximity.com/iPad.
